Engaging with São Pablo Innovation Ecosystem: Galicia Ventures at Corporate Venture in Brazil

Galicia Ventures’ presence at Corporate Venture in Brazil, organized by APEX and Global Corporate Venturing in São Paulo from October 28th to 30th, proved to be a significant event.

Mercedes Fiuri represented Galicia Ventures on the panel “Foreign CVC Perspectives on Brazil,” where she shared her insights alongside Bernardita Araya from CMPC and Yalena Yang Sun from InDrive, moderated by Juliene Piniano from FM/Derraik. This was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on the dynamics of corporate venture capital in Brazil and to discuss how to foster collaboration within this vibrant ecosystem.

Furthermore, Mercedes engaged in initiatives with women from other VC and CVC funds, as well as with startup founders, leading to important conversations about the future of the sector. Mercedes also served as a judge in the pitch sessions, alongside Kenichi Katsuhara and Guillaume Légaré, where startups such as CashU, Nagro, and Docket presented.

APEX and Global Corporate Venturing provided an excellent platform to strengthen ties with CVCs, startups, and other VCs in the region.
