Buenos Aires Tech Week: events, conversations, and opportunities to drive innovation

As part of Buenos Aires Tech Week, Galicia Ventures took part in a series of activities that brought together entrepreneurs, investors, public and private sector leaders, and key figures from Argentina’s innovation landscape. Over the course of several days, we participated in a range of events that reflect the diversity and dynamism of those shaping the present and future of venture capital in the country.

🔸 AgTech Day – May 29

Mercedes Fiuri joined AgTech Day, a gathering of investors, producers, agribusiness leaders, and entrepreneurs to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the agri-food sector. Organized by Innventure AgriFood Tech, the event focused on the intersection of technology, production, and sustainability, key elements for the future of agriculture in Argentina and the region.

🔸 Networking Breakfast at BYMA – May 29

That same day, Sebastián Spena attended a networking breakfast at the offices of BYMA (Bolsas y Mercados Argentinos), co-organized with ARCAP. Claudio Zuchovicki, President of BYMA, shared insights on the local and global economic and financial context and its impact on industry development. A valuable moment to better read the landscape and build connections with key players in the field.

🔸 Women in Tech – June 3

Clara Maldonado participated in the panel “Women in Tech: Create, Lead and Transform,” organized by WeInvest LatAm. Industry leaders like Susana Garcia-Robles, Vanessa Taiah, and Daniela Allerbon took part in a conversation that highlighted the challenges women face in the tech sector and the opportunities to build more inclusive spaces through leadership.

🔸 Monashees + Sigma Dinner – June 3

Sebastián Spena also joined a dinner with founders, fund representatives, and corporate leaders, with the distinguished presence of Pierpaolo Barbieri (17Sigma) and Sullyen Almeida (Monashees). These networking spaces are essential to continue bridging regional and international players in the venture capital world.

🔸 ARCAP Meetup at Newtopia – June 4

Finally, we joined the ARCAP Meetup hosted at Newtopia VC. Sebastián Spena and Clara Maldonado shared lunch with fellow professionals to discuss shared challenges, exchange insights, and think collectively about new ways to drive innovation in the region.

Each of these moments reaffirms our commitment to building meaningful relationships —rooted in local engagement— that help bring concrete opportunities to Grupo Galicia and strengthen Argentina’s entrepreneurial capital.

Special thanks to the organizers of each event for opening spaces that foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and shared innovation.
